MSW (Municipal solid waste) is a severe problem that is rising at an alarming rate in the world’s megacities as a result of overpopulation, urbanization, industrialization, and indiscriminate trash disposal. The municipal solid waste consists primarily of home and business garbage, which comprises biodegradable (paper, food waste, straw, and yard waste), partially biodegradable (wood, and sludge), and non-biodegradable elements (leather, plastics, metals, glass, electronics).
